One of a kind.

Going in with reasonable expectations. Using just the right amount of entropy, seasoned with wabi-sabi. Things get interesting when you toss in a few ghosts from the past and varying environmental conditions. The absence of robots is a good thing although it is acknowledging the possibility for human error.  Coming out at the end of the day, sometimes the recipe tweaks the tweeker.

I’m talking about silkscreening T-shirts in my basement one at a time but mostly I’m thinking about working on carbon fiber bicycle wheels and how they are made from textiles by human beings and not machined from steel or aluminum or titanium by computers controlling robots. And I’m remembering Ron Sutphin mentioning Eisentraut’s “one cubic centimeter of bullshit” statement and how true it really is that every scientific explanation and mathematical formula contains a little BS. Take a big room vacuum all the social skills out of it and then toss in a few bike geeks, engineers and business men. Finally, add one production manager. Is this a joke?
