increasing gas prices
outrageous insurance premiums
irreversible damage to the environment
 
unlike
brown paper packages tied up with string
these are a few of my    least favorite things

but
they are not
why I ride a bike

their absence from consciousness
is just a beneficial side effect
an unintended consequence
