i was just having that thought the other day on a ride. so many nice bikes around me, some could be resold to cover my student loan and it's huge. carbon prayer bars at a $1000 are not cool, a rider on steel frame crashing the tour de your favorite is fucking rad and a group ride with friends is splendid.

The Ragbrai solstice has passed, we're closer to the next one than to the last one. I'll start training soon as the snow clears, maybe in late June or early July. Or I can just ride the Murray boys coattails all the way into (insert eastern border town here).

in 2008 I discovered the limits of dehydration, malnutrition and excessive alcohol consumption...and I pushed right on through, with a little help from friends and some kickass painkillers from Fitchburg.
