There’s a large public university on the Montlake Cut that has a Housing & Food Services division with a monopoly on all coffee shops on campus. In said coffee shops a 12oz cup of mediocre drip coffee costs $3.52 if you bring your own cup. It’s like you’re stuck at the airport in a long layover, all day, every fucking day, coffee is five bucks and beers are fourteen and you try not to think about it. When I was your age a really really really great americano was $1.50… …goddamn kids GET OFF my lawn!

Whole lot of nothing said...

Another coffee shop in my uncles state offered free refills so my uncle would pocket his to go cup at the beginning of the week and free refill t-f because the price was too high. He’s a professor emeritus of math, so he knows numbers and math theory. Anyhow, the shop caught on(gold star barista in a predominantly Mormon state choosing the right-CTR ring dude) and the free refill program stopped. So stopped my uncle from daily pocketing and unpocketing of a 12 oz to go coffee cup in Beckettian fashion. Eventually he and his pals moved to another shop and said shop lost its ornamental old dude table talking bikes.
