WaMu occupies 1.6 million square feet of office space downtown. Much of that will vacate in the next few months. Add that to the already vacant space and the new office space still under construction and we'll soon have the highest vacancy rate ever in Seattle. Now's a good time to buy an office building or at least some used office furniture. It comes around. welcome to the boomtown.
