Grant Petersen could have applied his (considerable) intelligence to any one of a wide array of endeavors. I for one am glad that he chose to put bicycles at, or near, the top of his list of interests. I certainly don't agree with all his cycling related philosophies, but I respect the process by which he arrives at them. He "shows his work". He outlines the train of thought by which he arrives at a particular conclusion. Then he backs it up with over 6 decades of cycling experience. What I'm trying to say is that I think he is a good writer.
