Yeah, typically the interlacing of a crossing spoke happens over or under the last spoke being crossed, depending on whether the spoke is inbound or outbound through the hub flange. So the spoke goes under three spokes and over the fourth, or over three spokes and under the fourth. In this wheel the crossing spoke goes over, over, under over, for the outbound/trailing spokes, and under, under, over, under, for the leading spokes. This is unusual but hey, it seems to work just fine, so I guess it's not a big deal. The main question in my mind is WWRHD? What would Ric Hjertberg do, if he came across such a wheel?
